This is an Emergency Medicine based regional anesthesia course run by international leaders in regional anesthesia, including Arun Nagdev (the godfather of EM regional anesthesia), Rob Farrow in Miami and Tom Jelic in Manitoba, Winnipeg. If you have unspent CME and don’t want to spend time in the PACU, maybe (in 2025) Miami, Philadelphia or Salt Lake City appeals.
UTHSCSA Course
This two day Point-of-care ultrasound workshop sponsored by the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is one of the best run courses in the country. Helmed by hospital medicine ultrasound expert Nilam Soni, this course offers superb lectures, plenty of hands-on time and the warmth of San Antonio in Winter. 5 Min Sono Course
Offered by the principals of the ultrasound podcast, this online only very comprehensive course offers 18 hours of CME. Would need to be supplemented by hands-on time and another 6 hours of CME.
Gulfcoast Ultrasound Introduction to Emergency Ultrasound Course Gulfcoast is a very well established ultrasound education company. They are based in St. Petersburg Florida. The catalog of courses is immense but they offer basic and advanced emergency ultrasound courses in 100% live or blended formats. This three day course offers 24 hours of AMA CME.
The Resuscitative TEE course
There is no course better equipped to get you comfortable with resuscitative TEE. The quality of these courses are beyond compare are held locally in NYC, as well as in destinations that may be attractive. Hands-on time is prioritized and instructors are the leading experts in resuscitative TEE from EM, critical care, cardiothoracic anesthesia and critical care cardiology.
